Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick Review

Nowadays, selfies have become the most popular way to take pictures and because a lot of people have been gravitating toward flawless selfie-ready makeup , Rimmel released their first new selfie-ready collection. This new collection contains a radiance primer, an insta duo contour stick, two correct and conceal palettes and a mattifying powder.
In today’s post I will be reviewing the Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick.

Rimmel Insta Duo Contour Stick Review

The new insta duo contour stick is available in three shades (light, medium and dark) and I picked up the shade light. The contour shade is a warm brown with orange undertones; so if you prefer more cool toned colors for contouring; you might not enjoy this one. In this case, it might work best as a bronzer. As for the highlight, it is a pink champagne with some fine shimmers.

Formula and application
The contour and the highlight shades are both very creamy. They apply so easily into the skin and they blend effortlessly. To blend these creamy formulas, I usually use the real techniques contour brush that is available in their Core Collection Set or a beauty blender. The real techniques brush is a hidden gem at the drugstore and it works perfectly for blending creams. It feels so gentle on the face and it does not move the foundation underneath.

On the skin, the contour and the highlight shades both look very natural. On my skintone (NC20-25) the contour shade gives a nice bronzy color. As for the highlight, it has become my favorite whenever I want a subtle glow without looking over the top.
If you are looking for a very natural highlight, this one is amazing. It blends easily with the fingers and it gives the skin a very natural lit from within glow that is perfect for every day.

Longevity
These two shades lasted on me for about 4-5 hours without setting with a powder. To prolong the wear time, I suggest setting with a powder.

For the price, the quality of the stick is really great. You can 8g of product in total and it works perfectly for a quick contour/bronze and highlight.
I absolutely love this stick and I wish that they will extend the shade range to include more cool toned contour shades.
