L’Oréal Blend Artist Infallible Foundation Blender Sponge Review

Sponges are the quickest way to blend any concealer or foundation. They absorb the excess product to give a nice natural finish to the skin and make your makeup routine much easier. So many companies tried to imitate the original beauty blender and recently L’Oréal came out with the new L’Oréal Blend Artist Infallible Foundation Blender Sponge  that is supposed to provide an even and easy application. I have heard so many people comparing it to the beautyblender so I thought I should give it a try and see how it performs!

L’Oréal sponge  VS  The BeautyBlender
The first obvious difference between these two sponges is the shape; while the beauty blender has the original egg shape, the L’Oréal one has an hourglass shape. I also noticed that the beauty blender is more dense while the l’oreal sponge feels more flimsy . They are both very soft on the skin and they do not absorb a lot of product. They blend the product nicely and seamlessly into the skin.

Is it a dupe?
I got the L’Oréal sponge two weeks ago and I used it for about 6 times in total. I was washing it after every single use but it ripped from the bottom. I know that these sponges are very delicate and I always squeeze them gently but I was very disappointed with this one!

I don’t know if I got a bad one but I had a bad experience with it and unfortunately I can’t recommend it to anyone.  Sponges are supposed to be changed every three months or so, and even if this sponge is only 7.99$, it did not last for even a month, which is not worth it! So unfortunately the L’Oréal blend artist sponge did not pass the test, and it was a big fail for me.

Have you tried this sponge? What do you think about it?

I’ve seen beauty Youtubers rave about this sponge so its good to know. I’m curious if I should just go ahead and bite the bullet and repurchase more Beauty blenders (even though they’re so pricey!)

I don’t know what is the secret to the beauty blender but there is yet to be an alternative to come out to be better than that sponge. There are a few trailing second and third place but no where near beating the magnificence of that sponge.

Oh no! I use the real technique ones and seriously love it – have never experienced any problems or tear with it and it has been over a year!

Omg that totally sucks. And I was so ready to hear good things about it too lol. Too bad it didn’t last a month.

I was wondering about this but I have been so happy with my Real Technique sponge that I never bother trying this. Good to know it’s not durable, will give this a miss.

I’ve found that while some drug store sponges work just as good as the Beauty Blender, they are more prone to tearing when washing!

I heard this was a good drugstore sponge but it does seem flimsy if it ripped so quickly!

I’ve been using this sponge since April and I don’t have any rips in mine yet. I wear rubber dish gloves when I wash my sponges so my nails don’t tear into them.
