Almay One Coat Mega Volume Mascara Review

Happy Monday! Today is another mascara review and it is all about the Almay one coat mega volume mascara. I was one of the lucky influensters chosen to test this mascara and I got it in the shade ‘010 blackest black’ .This mascara claims to deliver intense volume with just one coat which sounds really interesting!

Brush and application
The brush has an unique flared shape and unlike any other mascara, the bristles are shorter on the inner corner. Because of this weird shape, the application can be a little bit tricky at first but what is interesting about it is that it can help flaring up the lashes on the outer corner.

After trying it many different ways, I found that the best way to apply this mascara is by dragging the brush along the lashes instead of wiggling it. The formula is not too thin but not too thick and it is more wet than dry. The brush grabs on to the lashes nicely and it distributes the product evenly.

Does it give MEGA Volume?
As you can see in the picture down below, this mascara gives some length and definition to the lashes from the first coat. It does not give this Mega volume and within the second coat, the lashes may start to look clumpy and thick. I didn’t notice any smudging or flaking during the day and the mascara was easy to remove with a water based makeup remover. As this mascara is not waterproof, it does not hold the curl very well.

Almay one coat mega volume mascara try on

So overall, I think that this mascara is a nice one to try. It gives definition to the lashes from just one coat without looking overly clumpy or heavy! If you have voluminous lashes and you want to add some length and definition to your lashes, than this mascara can be a good option for you.
