Wet n Wild released the new megalast liquid catsuit matte lipsticks line a few months back, and it included 13 shades. Today I will be reviewing the shade Coral Corruption which is a bright but soft orangey coral that is perfect for spring!
Application and Formula
The first thing that I would like to mention is that the applicator of these lipsticks is a little bit different. The wand itself has a bit of a scoop to it and I find it to be easy to use because it helps more in covering and defining the lips.
The shade Coral Corruption is extremely pigmented and it looks darker on the lips than it appears inside of the tube. It might look patchy a little bit when you first start applying it but with a little bit of adjustment it will look pretty and opaque. It is not as bright or neon as some other coral shades that I have tried but it is still a fun coral to wear. The formula is easy to apply and it dries down quickly to a matte finish.
As you can expect from a liquid lipstick, this one too feels like glue on the lips and it does tend to settle into the fine lines so preparing an hydrating the lips before applying it is a must . It is a little bit drying but not as much as other liquid lipsticks!
This color might stay for 4 hours without eating an oily meal. It will fade from the center of the lips after a lot of drinking and it will come off after eating so it needs to be reapplied.
Even though this formula is long lasting, once it starts to fade, it is not that hard to take it off. That’s why I prefer to remove it completely if I have to do some touch ups because layering it can look a little bit odd and heavy.
So overall, I think that if you like liquid lipsticks, this one might be a nice option. It is affordable and it has a nice formula too. This shade is extremely pigmented and it can be a perfect choice for spring!
