The Sephora Favorites sets are always a great purchase for me and one of my latest picks is the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Nude Lips. This Set features one full size and five other deluxe sizes of nude lipsticks.
Getting all these six high ends lipsticks for 28$ looks like a great deal especially for someone who is curious to try all these formulas!Today I will be reviewing and rating each one of these lipsticks so that we can decide if this set is worth it or not.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Lip Gloss in Kristen
This is a warm rosy brown color that has a creamy formula. It is very pigmented and it applies evenly into the lips leaving a beautiful shiny finish. It comes with a flat sponge applicator that allows for an easy application. The texture does not feel heavy on the lips and it does not settle into the fine lines which is very impressing!
It will fade after drinking or eating but it does fade in an even way if that makes sense. This lip gloss is my favorite of all the lipsticks in this set because it combines the intensity of a regular lipstick with the shine of a gloss.
NARS Cosmetics Velvet Lip Glide in Bound
Another favorite is this beautiful rose mauve lipstick. It has a smooth and creamy formula that glides on easily into the lips. The only issue I had with this one was the applicator because this deluxe size has a small wand.
I am not saying that it is very hard to use but it does not allow for the easiest application. Other than that, the color is pretty and it gives a nice medium coverage to the lips. It has a slightly shiny finish and it is very hydrating. It has a light scent to it that is very close to the maybelline color sensational vivid matte liquid scent but a little bit lighter.
Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi Shine Lip Lacquer in Sugar Sugar
This champagne lip gloss applies more sheer into the lips than it looks when swatched. It has a light formula that does not feel so sticky or tacky on the lips. It has a good staying power too compared to many other lip glosses. For my skintone, this shade looks a little bit light that’s why I prefer to use it as a topper.
Tarte lippie lingerie matte tint in Revealed
This is meant to be a long-wearing and hydrating matte lip tint that provides buildable coverage. The shade ‘revealed’ is a warm reddish brown that applies very easily into the lips. It gives an opaque coverage with two layers and it sets to a semi-matte finish.
My issue with this shade is that it settles into the lines of the lips and it does not last at all! It started to fade on me after one hour even without any eating or drinking! The color is pretty but I think that it works best on top of a lip liner.
Urban Decay Vice Waterproof Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Trivial
This is the only full size product in the set but unfortunately I was very disappointed with the way it performed! It is supposed to be a waterproof and very long wearing liquid lipstick but it faded on me after two to three hours even without eating!
The formula is thin but it settles so much into the lines of the lips and it makes the lips appear more wrinkled.
Too faced lip injection glossy in Spice Girl
This lip plumper was fun to try. It adds a tiny bit of volume to the lips as you can see in the picture down below. After applying it, there is a slight tingle feeling that lasts for 10 minutes. On the Too faced website, they claim that the volume can last up to four hours but unfortunately, on me it lasted for about an hour.
Overall, if you are looking for a quick way to add some volume to your lips, this might be a nice choice.
I enjoyed all the lipsticks in this set except the urban decay one, so 5 out of 6 lipsticks is not bad! Overall, I think that if you want to try many different high end lipsticks formulas without paying the full price of each, then this set could be a nice option.
