Hello everyone and welcome back ! Today is another mascara review and it is all about the new Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara. So many new mascaras were released in the last two months! I tested the new Maybelline Big Shot Mascara, The Covergirl total Tease and the L’Oréal Lash paradise that you can check here, here and here.
The Revlon mascara retails for 5.99$ and it claims to deliver an oversized lash look with no flaking or smudging. So let’s find if these claims are true!
Formula and application
Speaking of the brush, the bristles are not all equal in length and they become shorter gradually which makes it easier to reach the lashes at the inner and outer corners of the eyes. This mascara has some fibers in it and these will help to add more length to the lashes. The formula is not too wet but not too dry and the brush distributes the product evenly and easily.
By the way, i think that this mascara might perform better after few days from opening it , as the formula becomes a little more dry. The first time i tried it, it did not gave me the same good result as after three days.
As you can see from the result that I got in the picture down below, this mascara gives more length than volume to the lashes. It separates the lashes nicely and within the second coat, you can get more definition but the lashes may start to look clumpy.
As for holding the curl, it did not do a great job. I noticed some falling after I applied the second coat, that’s why I curled my lashes again after I finished applying the mascara. Concerning how it wears during the day, I didn’t notice any smudging or flaking and the mascara was easy to remove with a regular water based makeup remover.
So overall I think that if you are looking for a natural everyday mascara, this could be an option. Compared to The L’Oréal Lash Paradise and the Covergirl Total tease mascara, these two give a lot more volume. For me, the Revlon Mascara does not provide ‘Mega Lashes’ as it claims and it has more of a lightweight formula that still looks more natural.
**I got this mascara for testing purposes, opinions are 100% my own.
